With the popularity of That's So Raven, it's not hard to imagine that some girls will choose to have their birthday party with a Raven theme. The idea now is coming up with a craft that the girls can do during the party, something that they can take home with them. Since most little girls own at least one Barbie doll, consider asking each child to bring a Barbie to the party.

Before the day of the party, you want to find some clothes for the Barbie in your party theme. Keep in mind that there actually is a "That's So Raven," doll, so you may want to buy a few outfits in order to come up with a pattern that's easy to make. Once you have the outfit for the party, you want to buy some material. Remember, you are not going to make the outfit but help the girls make it, so you want to be sure that you choose an outfit that is simple or you will end up making the outfits for the guests of the party.

Keep in mind that the children will be working with needles and thread, so this craft is not for younger girls, but those approaching the pre-teen years of maybe 11 or 12 years old. You certainly want to be there to help, but the project is no fun for the girls if you do it for them. In the end, if they are unhappy with the results, you can offer to fix it for them, but let them try their hand at it first. It's a good learning experience, and if they too well, they have something of which to be proud.
